2014-09-09 |
[Tolo News] A suicide kaboom at the police headquarter of Arghistan district of southern Kandahar province claimed the lives of Abdul Manaf, the district police chief, and two of his bodyguards on Sunday night, front man for Kandahar governor, Samim Ekhpelwak, said on Monday. "Investigations are underway to find out how the jacket wallah entered the police headquarter." Reports indicate that six other coppers were maimed in the attack. The injured coppers have been sent to a nearby hospital, he added. Taliban front man Qari Yousuf Ahmadi has claimed the responsibility for the attack. Manaf had served as the Afghistan police chief for the three years. With high rates of bad boy activity, Arghistan is considered among the most insecure districts in the province. |
