, during which the top American diplomat underlined that Egypt would be playing a key role in the so-called US-led coalition to combat the ISIL bully boyz across Iraq and Syria, the Egypt-based Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported Sunday.

According to the report, the Egyptian president and the top US diplomat further agreed that the strategy to combat terrorism should involve not only military measures but also initiatives by religious entities such as Egypt's al-Azhar University to raise people's awareness regarding the danger of terrorist organizations.

This is while Egyptian presidential spokesperson Ihab Badawi also stated that during his meeting with Kerry, al-Sissi further warned about the consequences of foreign holy warriors getting involved in some Middle East conflicts, especially Syria and Iraq, and their role in fuelling such wars.

During the meeting at the presidential palace in Cairo, which was also attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Anne Patterson, Kerry pointed to the maintenance of strong ties between Washington and Cairo.

#4  We should be, but Muslim Brotherhood, which I'm told has nothing to do with islam, Moe Morsi was the Oministration's choice; attacking MB members is attacking his people. After the odd vibe at this last Israel/Paleo cease fire, I'm not sure if either side is over that.

That would be great to have MB and Hamas smashing on the table.
