| Afghan Soldier Killed in Helicopter Crash in Daikundi |

| [Tolo News] An Afghan soldier was killed and eight others were maimed in a helicopter crash in central Daikundi province on Sunday evening, officials said on Monday. The incident took place in Gezab district of the province when an Afghan National Army (ANA) helicopter crashed into the wall of the district's airport killing a soldier, front man for the Ministry of Defense (MoD), Dawlat Waziri said. "Two pilots and six soldiers of the Crisis Response Unit (CRU) were maimed in the crash," Waziri said. He said the helicopter was returning from a battle and "wanted to land at the airport, but faced technical issues." Officials are investigating the crash to understand why and how this happened. |
