| #2 The best news I got out of the WaPo in quite a while - even IS suffers from unintended consequences: In April, Islamic State jihadists controlling the Fallujah Dam closed its gates, a move that meant to slow the flow of water to the Shiite-dominated provinces in the south. But the subsequent buildup of water ended up flooding a Sunni area nearby. The deluge affected as many as 40,000 people, aid workers said. |
