| Three gunned down in southern Thailand |

| Three people were gunned down and seven injured when four assailants armed with M16 rifles on two motorcycles fired into a grocery store in Songkhla province on Saturday evening. The three were killed instantly. The attackers left behind leaflets with the message that they carried out the attack in revenge for someone who was mistakenly gunned down by police in Narathiwat province on October 23. The incident came soon after bomb attacks at four restaurants and bars in Pattani province on Friday evening, which killed one waitress and wounded two others. |
