Certain states use ISIL to promote Islamophobia: Iranian official
2014-11-03
[Iran Press TV] An Iranian deputy foreign minister has criticized certain states for using the ISIL terrorist group as a tool to encourage Islamophobia

in the world.

"Unfortunately, these states are playing with the security of the region and the world," by using terrorism, said Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a Sunday meeting with Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende in the Iranian capital Tehran.

The Iranian official also said the US made a mistake in forming the "illegal" coalition against the ISIL because the move expanded the activities of the Takfiri

turbans in the region.

The US-led bombing campaign against the ISIL began on August 8 in Iraq; while since late September, the US and its Arab allies have been conducting Arclight airstrikes against ISIL positions inside Syria as well, without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate.

The Iranian diplomat noted that the Syrian crisis, which began in 2011, needs "a diplomatic solution."

Amir-Abdollahian also slammed certain states for arming the so-called moderate turbans fighting against the Syrian government, saying that the move will deepen the crisis in the war-torn Arab state.

He said that the Islamic Theocratic Republic is open to hold talks with regional states including Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, Turkey, and Egypt to help maintain peace and security in the region.

The Norwegian foreign minister, for his part, called for setting up short and long term strategies for fighting against the ISIL terrorist group.

He criticized certain states for "their strategic mistake" in supporting ISIL, saying, "Reinforcing extremism is a double-edge sword that could be dangerous for all sides."
