| Four Arrested in Britain over Alleged Islamist Plot |

[An Nahar] Police in London said Friday they had placed in durance vilePlease don't kill me! four men in connection with an alleged Islamist plot, which media reports said was planned for British soil. The men, aged 19, 22, 25 and 27, were arrested overnight "on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," Scotland Yard said. A number of addresses and vehicles are being searched as part of the investigation, which is being carried out in cooperation with the domestic intelligence agency MI5. "These arrests and searches are part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist-related terrorism," it said. Media reports said the men were accused of plotting an attack in Britannia. There was no current indication of a link to Syria or the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group, the BBC added. Three suspects were detained at addresses in west London and High Wycombe, west of the capital. Armed officers were present at two arrests but no shots were fired, police said. The eldest suspect was arrested in a car in west London, again by armed officers. All four remain in jug in cop shoppes in central London, the statement said. |

The response to your accusation was that only a nutcase would say such an insane thing. Further, judging from your long history on the Burg of knee-jerk overreaction, speculation was made that perhaps alcohol played a part in your insane accusation. IMHO, a fair reaction to your statement and fair speculation. |

| #1 ...and this is why I like Rantburg. I just dropped by BBC World News to get more coverage on the story. So far it's being downplayed, and while there is a link to the story "Alleged terror plot four questioned" there's no word of the plan to assassinate the Queen. The "Analysis" feature does not mention the Queen either. |
