Georgia Sen. Johnny Isakson to seek third term
2014-11-11
[ONPOLITICS.USATODAY] Sen. Johnny Isakson is out to prove the early bird catches the worm.

The Georgia Republican will announce next Monday, Nov. 17, that heâll seek a third term in the Senate, according to a release posted on his campaign website.

Isakson, first elected in 2004, will be joined by state officials, lawmakers and supporters at the Capitol in Atlanta. Isaksonâs campaign event not only puts an end to persistent rumors that heâll retire, but itâs also likely it could help him clear the field.

#5  "determined to feed at the public trough."

A blanket that covers all the horses I'm afraid.

#4  Since we just now had an election, I'd call him "determined to feed at the public trough."

#3  He waited until Perdue made the cut. Probably anxious to assist him.

#2  Depends. His voting record for the 113th Congress is here and long-term record is here.

During his political career, he's been labeled a RINO, a "libertarian-leaning conservative" and "hard-core conservative."

I dunno. I'd go with "Republican politician" myself.
