#1  Not to be confused with Operation Torch on 8 November 1942 when America would without declaration of war launched an unprovoked attack upon neutral Vichy French North Africa. Right FDR? I'm sure the French sailors of the Jean Bart were impressed with that 'surprise' as well. (see-Naval Battle of Casablanca).

Just retrieving from the Memory Hole(c,1984) about Father Progressive himself and the rhetoric of war.
