[IraqiNews.com] On Monday, MP Abdul-Rahman al-Luwaizy said, that the Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi appointed Lt. Gen. Riyad Tawfik as the Commander of Nineveh Operations.

Al-Luwaizy informed IraqiNews that, "Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander of the Armed Forces, Haidar al-Abadi has appointed Lt. Gen. Riyad Tawfik as the Commander of Nineveh Operations in addition to his position as the Commander of the Ground Forces," noting that, "Lt. Gen. Tawfik is fully aware of the affairs of the province."
