Barzan al-Abidi, commander of al-Baghdadi police regiment, stated for IraqiNews, ?This morning, Iraqi security forces consisting of elements of the army and the police backed with armed volunteers from al-Abid clan have managed to liberate 14 villages in al-Baghdadi Island and Jabah area, located 90 km south of al-Ramadi.? ?The security forces have killed dozens of ISIS fighters to gain control over the whole area as advancing on ISIS positions in al-Baghdadi Island and Jabah area with support from the international coalition,? Abidi added. |
