Palestinians, Sudanese and Syrians banned from entering country |
2015-01-06 |
The Interior Minister Omar Al-Sinki has banned Palestinian, Sudanese and Syrian nationals from entering Libya. The ban, according to the Beida-based offices of the Libyan news agency LANA, will remain in force until further notice. It is to be applied at airports, seaports and border crossings. Sinki said that he had received accurate intelligence reports that a number of nationals of the three states were heading to Libya to join militants in the country and “commit terrorist acts against the army and police in Benghazi and towns in western Libya”. |
