The photos were published after a newspaper report said two Saudis, wanted by police, were behind the predawn attack. DNA tests are being conducted on bodies to confirm the attackers' identities, said the report carried by Asharq Al-Awsat. Saudi authorities have identified the two Saudi attackers from their facial features that had not changed as a result of the shootout, the paper said. Authorities are still trying to determine the identity of two others as the body of one was totally disfigured as a result of suicide kaboom while the other had used a hand grenade to kill himself when he was surrounded. Security sources said the four murderous Moslems were carrying Saudi riyals, weapons and bombs. They were planning to take control of a checkpost on the Saudi-Iraq border but modern technology helped the border guards to foil their plot, one source said. |
