| Somali forces closed Mogadishu key roads | |

| Somalia National security and police forces have on Thursday morning closed key roads of the Somalia capital, Mogadishu, in a bid to thwart the Shaboobs, officials and witnesses said. A witness told Shabelle Media that hundreds of Somali troops were visible on the main streets of Maka Al-Mukarama, refusing private cars, donkey carts and public transportations to use on that road for security reason. He added that all people, students and pedestrians were allowed to pass on roads on their foot while Somali pickup trucks with soldiers, encircling on the closed roads. The motive behind the closure of the key Mogadishu roads are yet to be established but reports indicated that ministers from IGAD are expected to arrive in Mogadishu.
