Army: Missing Policeman Found Killed in Egypt's Sinai |
2015-01-14 |
[AnNahar]. Egyptian troops found the body Tuesday of a policeman who had been reported kidnapped in the Sinai Peninsula after a search operation during which 10 "terrorists" were killed, the army said. Police Captain Ayman al-Desouky, who had gone missing near the town of Rafah on the border with the Gazoo Strip on Sunday, was "killed by terrorist elements," it added. His body was found with a bullet to the head after a joint search with police across the North Sinai towns of El-Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah, during which the "10 terrorists" were killed in a shootout. It was not immediately clear who had killed the officer but jihadists based in the restive Sinai have claimed a string of killings of security force personnel. Egypt's deadliest murderous Moslem group, Ansar Beit al-Maqdis (Partisans of Jerusalem) is based in the peninsula and pledged allegiance in November to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group in Iraq and Syria. |
