| [DAWN] AS terrorist violence from Islamic turbans spreads across the world, from Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. to Gay Paree, affected states are struggling to devise effective responses. So far, most of their responses have addressed the visible symptoms of the terrorist threat through military, police and intelligence measures. These are, of course, essential to stem the terrorist tide. Unfortunately, these responses are often insufficient or incorrect. To develop the right responses, it is essential to honestly analyse and address the principal causes of Islamic terrorism. |

| #3 When done "right" fascism can be quite popular. If you can identify and segregate a good target in the population you can then get the folks to rally round the party.......with all that means. |

| #2 With all due respect to the author, I don't totally agree. Fascism can grow in vibrant economies and strong government as well as failed states. True, failed states grow faster but as evident with Iran, they had a strong economy and state, Fascism took over anyway. Fascism takes over when men refuse to stand up and stop it. This is happening in Europe right now. Fear of not being politically correct has most of the population silent. This is how it happens and until they stand up it will only get worse. |
