| Bomb defused near filling station in Charsadda |

| [DAWN] CHARSADDA: The local police claimed on Sunday to have defused a five kilogram improvised bomb, which was recovered near a filling station on Rajjar bypass road here. Sources said that the police reached the spot soon after receiving information from local people about the presence a suspicious device there. They said that the police dected the bomb, and cordoned off the area. Afterwards, they called called the bomb disposal squad personnel to defuse the bomb. The bomb disposal squad personnel reached the spot and safely defused the bomb. They said that the bomb contained at least five kilogram explosive powder. The officials said that the police also recovered five feet prima cord and a mobile phone from the spot. They said that the police started the paperwork but haven't done much else against the unidentified persons and began making efforts to trace the culprits. |
