Lebanese Man in U.S. Court for Allegedly Being Ex-Hizbullah Operative | |

[AnNahar] A Lebanese man went on trial in the United States on Monday on charges that he kept secret his prior affiliation with Hizbullah ... Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistanceand purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory... and Amal movement to remain in the country and to possibly gain access to sensitive information. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Roomberg told jurors in San Antonio, Texas, that Wissam Allouche admitted to an undercover agent to previously being an Amal commander and that he supported Hizbullah. Roomberg also said that he has told his ex-wife's family of being a prisoner of war in Israel and to pummeling to death an Israeli pilot. Allouche, 45, was a contract linguist for the U.S. Military in Iraq and moved to the U.S. in 2002. The Federal Bureau of Investigation locked away Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! him in 2013 after being indicted on charges of not disclosing, during his quest to obtain his U.S. citizenship, his membership in Amal and Hizbullah in the 1980s. He is also charged with not disclosing his prior membership in those parties when he applied for a linguist job with the Defense Department. Counterterrorism officials allege that Allouche also falsely claimed to be a U.S. special operations forces officer during visits to Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston and even tried to hook up with women at the post, possibly to gain access to sensitive information.
