#3 The oath many of us have taken: "I, _____, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." Please note: there is no expiration date. Many of us still keep the oath long after we took off the uniform. |

#2 “It’s really easy to give people things. It’s much harder to build a system that gives people their purpose back,” Greitens says. “The victim culture tells you that life should be free of pain. But you can’t get stronger unless you experience pain. When we truly care about people we push them.” A fictional character like this would not be believable. |

#1 The Mission Continues now sponsors Service Platoons in 40 cities across the country to get veterans involved in community service. The effort is less than a year old and already has more than 4,000 veteran volunteers So maybe more veterans will get into politics. Maybe politicians would serve The People again. Maybe unicorns ... |
