| Sleepy forest hamlet doubles as terrorist training camp |

| [Dhaka Tribune] The vast 0.5 hectare area of reserve forest plain in Chittagong would not seem deceiving with all the tin-shed farmhouses surrounded by dense jungle and high hills. The idyllic setting would seem perfect for raising cattle, sheep and poultry. No one has ever suspected anything sinister about the place until yesterday when a training centre for Lions of Islam was unearthed by law enforcers. The Rapid Action Battalion  says the place -- around three hours' walk from the Chittagong-Banshkhali Road -- would turn into a training ground for Lions of Islam after sunset.According to RAB 7, Lions of Islam have been training on hijacking planes, kidnapping VIPs, guerilla warfare, and armed and unarmed combat for the past two years until sunrise. |
