Karzai says he will not return as Afghan President
2015-02-24
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The former Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai
... A former Baltimore restaurateur, now 12th and current President of Afghanistan, displacing the legitimate president Rabbani in December 2004. He was installed as the dominant political figure after the removal of the Taliban regime in late 2001 in a vain attempt to put a Pashtun face on the successor state to the Taliban. After the 2004 presidential election, he was declared president regardless of what the actual vote count was. He won a second, even more dubious, five-year-term after the 2009 presidential election. His grip on reality has been slipping steadily since around 2007, probably from heavy drug use...
has ruled out speculations that he will return as the president of Afghanistan.

In an interview with the DPA news agency and ARD in Kabu, the former Afghanistan's Caped President said he has completed his time and insisted that "We should not get stuck in history. I'm history."

Karzai stepped down as the Afghanistan's Caped President after transferring power to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
on 29th September.

In parts of his remarks Karzai criticized the NATO

-led combat mission in Afghanistan and said the mission was a failure which left thousands of epople dead.

He said the insurgency has increased and the world is suffering from growing radicalism particularly from al Qaeda and the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group.

According to Karzai the NATO and US forces failed to target the roots of terrorism.

Karzai is still believed to an influence in the new government of Afghanistan with reports suggesting that he is meeting President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on regular basis to advise him on key policy issues.

He was one of the main critics of West's war against terrorism and refused to sign the bilateral security agreement between Kabul and Washington and the NATO status of forces agreement despite the draft security pact was approved by majority during a consultative Loya Jirga over a year ago.
