Officials add that the bandidos hard boys have also brought light and heavy weapons and ammunition.

The commander of the group with 18 members is said to be Qari Abdul Khabir, a Taliban capo in the area, and the commander of the group with 11 members is Qari Eidi Mohammad, Taliban so-called Governor for Tagab District of Badakhshan.

Baba Jan, Police Chief of Badakhshan Province says that the surrendered bandidos hard boys have promised to live in peace.

He said "The groups were busy in anti-government activities in Tagab District of Badakhshan Province but while announcing unification with the government they promised not only to live in peace but will also help in security."

He added that "Reconciliation of these groups will have a positive impact on the security situation" "And this proves that insurgency is wrong and they will not be conned by foreigners again." he said.
