US-led Coalition Continues Airstrikes Against ISIL in Syria, Iraq

Officials reported details of the latest strikes, which took place between 8 a.m. yesterday and 8 a.m. today, local time, noting that assessments of results are based on initial reports.


Airstrikes in Syria

Attack, fighter, bomber and remotely piloted aircraft conducted 16 Arclight airstrikes in Syria:

-- Near Hasakah, 10 Arclight airstrikes struck nine ISIL tactical units and destroyed two ISIL vehicles.

-- Near Kobani, six Arclight airstrikes struck an ISIL large tactical unit, three ISIL tactical units, two ISIL fighting positions and destroyed three ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL checkpoint and an ISIL vehicle.

Airstrikes in Iraq

Attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft conducted five Arclight airstrikes in Iraq:

-- Near Asad, three Arclight airstrikes struck an ISIL tactical unit, an ISIL fighting position and an ISIL improvised bomb location.

Dozens of ISIL terrorists killed western Anbar

[IraqiNews.com] Dozens of the ISIL bad boyz were potted in an Arclight airstrike of western Anbar.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior received by IraqiNews.com cited "The US-led Coalition bombarded the ISIL bully boyz in Heet district of western Anbar to kill dozens of them."

3 ISIS rocket warehouses destroyed in U.S.-led strike in Mosul

The source informed IraqiNews, "Warplanes of the U.S.-led international coalition conducted an air strike against headquarters for the ISIS group Lions of Islam in the industrial area, located in western Mosul," noting that, "The air strike resulted in destroying three warehouses that were used by the group to manufacture rockets and rocket launchers."

"The operation has also resulted in killing and injuring a number of rocket experts for ISIS," the source added.
