Ralph Peters BLASTS Biden and the Democrats, PRAISES Tom Cotton
2015-03-11
[The Right Scoop] Ralph Peters delivers once again, putting all this hoopla by Democrats over the GOP letter to Iran in the proper perspective.

#8  I think the first thing Obama would do is call for a full U.N. Investigation - he might even start negotiations on where to have the pre-conference luncheon to discuss arranging a conference (with a 5-star Golf Course of course!) on the nuking of Tel-Aviv. At the same time he will be pressuring Israel from doing any rash actions like defending itself.

#7  I'd have to respectfully disagree. I doubt the Champ would authorize the lifting of a single finger unless the mushroom cloud began drifting North across the Rappahannock.

#6  I figured three years because the mullahcracy really needs the sanctions lifted. At this point, the mullahs realize that would be a more certain thing with Mr. Obama, who apparently is of the 'realist foreign policy camp', than with an unknown successor.

However, it's likely that the mullahs also realize that, were an Iranian nuke tested during the present administration, Mr. Obama, fearing irreparable damage both to his legacy and the OFA/Long March, would either be motivated (or be forced to) "overreact," or face a de facto revolt against himself and his administration.

#5  Ref #4. Yes, and the possibility of Iran already having a nuke, is not even discussed. It may already be too late, so the regime is simply 'kicking the can down the road' until, as you say, the inevitable test blast is detected under a pub administration.

#4  It'sa "wait until a republican's in the white house and then test your weapons" agreement, just like they did with North Korea.

Partly why I figured it'd be within three years for Iran to produce and test a nuke.

#3  Seems that Champ has elected to come up with an "Executive Agreement" with Iran rather than a treaty. The treaty would have to be submitted to the Senate for advice and consent (ratification). An EA is the instrument of a weasel for the edification of himself and his legacy. An end-around the Constitution and Congress is despotism and tyranny not leadership.

#1  Not going to be a "Treaty."

The One is going to negotiate an "understanding" that will be defended as outside the purview of Congress.

By the time the dust settles, The One will be sippin' Mai Tai's in HI (or, maybe, Tehran?).
