[InterAksyon] A Philippine soldier was killed while three of his companions were injured in an ambush by New People's Army militants in Mabini town, Compostela Valley on Thursday. The troopers were working with peace and development missions when attacked by the militants.Lt. Gen. Aurelio Baladad said, "The action of the NPA bandits on the other hand, proves that they are indeed anti-development and anti-people. What Lt. Col. Tanzo was doing was to bring the government closer to the far flung villages through peace and development activities."
