Internet, communication services return to Tikrit

[IraqiNews.com] The internet and telecommunication services returned to Tikrit city, center of Salah-il-Din Province on Thursday, according to statement by a security source.

The source told IraqiNews.com "The internet and telecommunications services returned to Tikrit city after seven months of suspension imposed by the terrorist ISIL gangs."

Iraqi Security Forces , volunteers and rustics continue clearing Tikrit city from remaining of the terrorist gangs as well as the bombs and boom-mobiles left in the city.

Police forces detain 4 foreign ISIS elements in central Tikrit

[IraqiNews.com] On Wednesday, a security source in Salahuddin province stated, that the police forces detained 4 foreign elements of the ISIS group who have been hiding in central Tikrit.

The source stated for IraqiNews.com, "The federal police forces have managed to arrest 4 elements of the ISIS group, who hold foreign nationalities (one Egyptian, one Sudanese and two Asians), as they were hiding inside one of the houses in central Tikrit," pointing out that, "The four ISIS elements were captured after the security forces advanced into the center of the city."

3 senior ISIS leaders killed in battle for Tikrit, says official

[IraqiNews.com] Diyali Provincial Council announced Wednesday, that three big shots of ISIS were killed during festivities with the security forces inside the presidential palaces in the city of Tikrit.

The president of the security committee in Diyali Provincial Council, Sadek al-Husseini, stated to IraqiNews in an interview, "Three of the top ISIS leaders in Diyali province, including the ISIS commander of Shorowin, located 45 km east of Baqubah, have been killed during violent festivities that took place inside the presidential palaces in Tikrit city."

Noteworthy, many ISIS leaders fled to Salahuddin province after the security forces resolved the battle in Diyali.

ISIS attack kills 3 volunteer soldiers in southern Tikrit

[IraqiNews.com] On Wednesday, a source within the police force in Salahuddin province said, that 3 elements of al-Hashed al-Sha'bi were killed in an ISIS attack in southern Tikrit.

The source stated for IraqiNews.com, "A number of holy warriors belonging to the ISIS group have carried out a mortar shell attack on a post for al-Hashed al-Sha'bi militia fighters in the district of al-Ishaqi, located 80 km south of Tikrit," pointing out that, "The attack resulted in killing 3 elements of al-Hashed al-Sha'bi militia."

"Army reinforcements arrived in the area, while the dead have been transferred to the Forensic Medicine Authority," the source confirmed.

Coalition strike kills 31 ISIS elements in Biji

[IraqiNews.com] On Wednesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that 31 elements of the ISIS group have been killed in an air strike by the army's air force in the district of Biji.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, "The army's air force have carried out an air strike on a number of gathering sites for the ISIS group faceless myrmidons in the villages of al-Mallaha and al-Ba'ajei in south of Biji district, located 40 km north of Tikrit," pointing out that, "The strike resulted in killing 31 elements of the ISIS group in the two areas."
