Four students confess to role in Thai bombings
2015-04-07
[The Nation] Four college students in detention confessed that they were behind three bombings in Narathiwat municipal area. 13 people were hurt and 47 homes damaged in the February 20 attack.

Provincial police led a raid last Thursday which resulted in 22 arrests. Of those detained, 18 were released, while the four students, whose names are still being withheld, remain in custody. Authorities are hunting for seven accomplices in the bombing.

Meanwhile, a village official lost both legs after he accidentally stepped on a pipe bomb planted in his rubber plantation in Narathiwat's Suangai Padi district yesterday morning.

On Sunday night, a bomb planted inside a foot-long metal pipe on a high-voltage pole in Pattani's Muang district was destroyed. Security forces are looking for three more bombs after receiving information.
