| 4 Police, 2 Civilians Killed in Qarabagh Blast |

| [Tolo News] At least four coppers and two non-combatants were killed in a roadside kaboom in Qarabagh district of Kabul on Monday, local officials said. The blast occurred in Sabz Sang area of Qarabagh after a police vehicle struck a roadside mine, District Governor, Abdul Sami Sharif said. "The blast took place near a mosque while people were gathered for a funeral ceremony. The police vehicle was passing the area (when it hit the mine)," he said. So far no group, including the Taliban, has grabbed credit for the blast. This comes a day after TOLOnews issued its monthly security report which found there was an 88 percent increase in civilian casualties across the country during the month of March - as compared to last month's report. In March, 44 mine kabooms and 57 armed attacks by holy warriors were recorded in the country, while 23 abductions and other incidents also occurred, according to the report. |
