[MindaNews] Gunmen thought to be members of the Abu Sayyaf militants have seized a retired marine late Monday off Sulu. Capt. Maria Rowena Muyuela identified the victim as Renato Fernandez. Muyuela said Fernandez was seized Monday morning in the municipal waters of Pangutaran, an island municipality in the province.Fernandez was aboard a motorboat when forcibly taken by four gunmen among the motorboat's passengers. The gunmen took Fernandez aboard one of two motorized bancas and took off in an unknown direction.
