ISIS militants destroy strategic bridge in Ramadi

[IraqiNews.com] On Saturday, a security source in Anbar province said, that the ISIS group holy warriors blew up a strategic bridge in eastern Ramadi, located in Anbar province.

The source stated for IraqiNews.com, "In the early hours of the dawn, ISIS holy warriors have destroyed a strategic bridge in the area of Albu Faraj, located in eastern Ramadi," pointing out that, "The bridge was completely destroyed with the aim preventing the security forces from approaching into the area of Albu Faraj in the key city of Ramadi."

"The bridge has fallen into the Euphrates River," the source added.

Security forces destroy 4 boats carrying ISIS elements while trying to sneak into al-Baghdadi

[IraqiNews.com] On Sunday, chairman of al-Baghdadi district in Anbar province, Mal Allah al-Obeidi announced the destruction of four boats belonging to ISIS while trying to sneak into the district.

Obeidi said in an interview with IraqiNews.com, "A force of the army backed by Abid tribe fighters were able today to destroy four boats carrying elements belonging to the ISIS group while trying to cross Euphrates River to al-Baghdadi district (90 km west of Ramadi)."

Al-Obeidi added, "The security forces managed to kill the ISIS elements after clashing with them."

Anbar governor survives assassination attempt in Ramadi

A Council's member Aid Amash said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "The governor of Anbar Suhaib al-Rawi survived today an liquidation attempt by mortar shells targeted the headquarters of the security forces during a visit in the city of Ramadi."

Amash added, "Al-Rawi was not harmed, and the bombing only led to some material damage."

The governor of Anbar Suhaib al-Rawi confirmed earlier on Sunday, that the security forces will restore the areas dominated by the ISIS group in Ramadi.

[IraqiNews.com] As shown in the smuggled video below, the terrorist organization ISIS executed 35 members of the Al-Bofarj clan in northern Ramadi for fighting against ISIS with security elements, according to Al-Arabiya TV channel.

The governor of Anbar province, Suhaib al-Rawi, announced earlier that ISIS group committed a massacre against Al-Bofarj clan and killed dozens of them.

According to security sources, members of the Al-Bofarj clan, many of whom serve in the Iraqi Army and police forces, have been displaced to central Ramadi because of the festivities between the security forces and ISIS organization; the latter was able to seize parts from the area after attacking it on Sunday morning. Al-Bofarj clan members have fought with security forces against ISIS.
