group (IS/ISIS) in the city of Shaddadi in the southern countryside of Hasakah.

The pro-regime helicopters targeted the entrance of Masakin al-Mitain in Shaddadi and the vicinity of the National Hospital, causing the destruction of a number of residential buildings.

ARA News could not verify information about the IS losses.

Speaking to ARA News on the phone, Ali Swidan from Shaddadi, said that a white-colored helicopter was flying over the city of Shaddadi, coupled with the sound of a drone, "then we heard two kabooms, the first took place at the al-Bulghar Camp (housings for workers in the oil fields of Jibisa), while the second was in the industrial area."

"Afterwards, the marketplace in central Shaddadi was hit with missiles," he added.

Swidan pointed out that another raid targeted the al-Taqwa mosque, which is experiencing weekly meetings for imams in the areas that are under the group's control in southern Hasakah.

"The bombardment of the mosque, followed by the bombing of the Directorate of the Jibisa oil fields, and the hospital located on the western entrance of the city led to casualties among civilians," he added.

Eyewitnesses told ARA News that the IS corpse count as a result of the recent rocket attacks reached 90 forces of Evil so far, besides scores of casualties among civilians.

The city of Shaddadi (60 km south of Hasakah) is deemed the main IS stronghold in the southern areas of the province, and it is used by the group as a springboard for attacks on other areas of the Hasakah countryside.
