| [AnNahar] Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched new strikes in Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... on Thursday despite a demand by rebels for a complete halt to the raids as a condition for U.N.-sponsored peace talks. The regional alliance on Tuesday declared an end to the first phase of its operations against the Iran-backed Houthis but vowed to keep hitting them with targeted bombing when necessary. |
