Release all the prisoners and require them to live in blue cities. Or as Fred would say, "I seen that movie." I think it was Escape from New York...

#2  The real problem is a perfect storm of events: (1) Federal policies that have made it comfortable to stay on welfare and even promote single parent homes for the poor (2) School policies that cage kids rather than teach them critical thinking (3) Prisons that are comfortable enough that they serve as criminal universities (4) Elites that tell people that the crime, broken homes, and grinding poverty are caused by someone else in order to get elected.
