WH: Fall of Ramadi to ISIS a 'setback'
2015-05-19
[THEHILL] The White House on Monday called the fall of Ramadi to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) a "setback," but vowed the U.S. is determined to help retake the Iraqi city.

"There is no denying that this is indeed a setback," White House front man Eric Schultz said. "But there is also no denying we will help the Iraqis take back Ramadi."

Islamic State forces seized control of the city over the weekend, reportedly killing hundreds of people and forcing thousands from their homes.

The city's fall raised fresh concerns over the effectiveness of President B.O.'s strategy in fighting ISIS, which has relied on U.S. and coalition Arclight airstrikes and training of Iraqi ground forces.

The White House said it's not prepared to change its strategy and expressed confidence in the ability of Iraqi security forces.

"ISIL will ultimately be defeated in Ramadi and elsewhere in Iraq because we believe Iraqi forces have the capacity to ultimately take Ramadi with coalition support," Schultz said, using an alternate acronym to refer to the group.

Schultz said there have been 32 Arclight airstrikes in Ramadi in the past three weeks, including eight in the past 24 hours.

#5  "Ah yes - a setback. Nothing that can't be fixed with a phone call to a previous donor, a golf game or two, perhaps the quiet offer of a job at Foggy Bottom for a deserving transgendered offspring of one of the alumni..."

#4  I had a setback too. Gained some leviathan weight as the bad angels thrown from heaven destroy, like a plague, only the good people on the earth.

Had a bad dream I had to come down to supervise your poor acting role in messiah. And whatever the next creepy goons decide what should decimate the planet - with bastardizing language and freeing the evil to do more damage.

Why say more.

It is all in your Holy Bible, with which, there would be no "set-backs".

#2  Yep. Kinda like losing Berlin was a "setback" for the Nazis.
