Suspected robber killed in gunfight in Cox's Bazar |

[Dhaka Tribune] An alleged robber was killed in a shootout with police at Cahkaria upazila in the district yesterday. The dear departed was identified as Ali Ajgar,30, son of Nurul Amin of Dumkhali area. Probhash Chandra Dhar, officer-in-charge of Chakaria cop shoppe said on a tip-off, the police conducted a drive in Khutkhali area of the upazila while a gang of robbers were taking preparation to commit a robbery in the area. Spider senses tingling at the proximity of police, the robbers opened fire on the law enforcers, prompting them to retaliate. [BANG! BANG! BANGETY BANG!]that triggered a shootout, he said. Ajgar was caught in the line of fire and was struck down in his prime. Three coppers were also injured during the shootout. Police incarcerated ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... an injured robber named Mohammad Shekha. The law enforcers also recovered two firearms and 13 bullets from the spot. The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue |
