| ISIL Takfiri group claims responsibility for Diyala blast |

| [Iran Press TV] The ISIL Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... group has grabbed credit for a deadly car kaboom in eastern Iraq that killed at least 15 people. ISIL Takfiri group claimed the attack in a statement posted on myrmidon forums on Sunday, saying that one of those killed was a member of the counterterrorism unit in Iraq's police. The bomb "hit a string of restaurants on the eastern side of town... Most of the people there were truck drivers transporting goods between Baghdad and Kurdistan," a police captain said on Sunday. The kaboom destroyed roadside restaurants at the entrance of the town of Balad Ruz, located some 65 kilometers (40 miles) northeast of the capital Baghdad, in the Diyala province late on Saturday. At least 15 people were killed and over 37 others were maimed in the bombing, police said.
