| ISIS demands homes for foreign fighters in Mosul |

"If anyone has more than one house, he will be forced to give the second one or the rest to the foreign leaders and fighters," Ismat Rajab, an official to the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Mosul told Rudaw on Monday. The radical group has tightened its grip on the stronghold city of Mosul in recent months, reportedly forcing civilians to follow strict rules and regulations and also share their wealth with the jihadists. "They [ISIS] have told people to share their money, houses, their wealth and everything, claiming that the imported muscle are protecting the 'Caliphate'," Rajab said. He said ISIS leaders told residents it is their "religious duty" to give up their extra homes to the imported muscle. |
