"The FBI and Justice Department worked with Lois Lerner and the IRS to concoct some reason to put President Obama's opponents in jail before his reelection. And this abuse resulted in the FBI's illegally obtaining confidential taxpayer information. How can the Justice Department and FBI investigate the very scandal in which they are implicated?"
Appears Lerner was indeed a 'Focal Point.' An amazing capability used to shape events and outcomes. A capability likely not limited to elections or the agencies as listed.

#17  Put Nixon/Democrats for Obama/Conservatives, and you'd have the press with charging the gates, calling for impeachment.

That's the problem - it isnt and so the mass of people are not informed, or worse they are informed completely opposite fo what is happening.

A democracy depends on a well informed populace, and this one is being actively and deliberately maliciously misinformed. Politicians are weasels and expected to go crooked. In the design of this republic, the press is not supposed to be an organ of the state of of a specific party or movement. Yet is has become just such a thing, even more surely than Pravda and Isvestia ever were, because the US press has voluntarily put on the yoke and the blinders.

When the republic falls, I hope the press are the first ones hung from trees, by their own entrails preferably - publishers and editors first.

Government of the people, by the people, for the people has been made a sham. Instead, the power of the government is used to prosecute the people? This will eventually result in the destruction of the Republic.

#12  Of course they did, the only real surprise is that they put something like that down on paper. I assumed it was simply informal discussions over a few glasses of wine by a few middle management types in each organization.

So now we'll probably find it was directed form above but there will be no proof connecting it to the White House. And if such proof appears it will be claimed as fabricated and racist.
