| Members of Brotherhood-linked terrorist cell arrested: Egyptian military |

[AlAhram] Egyptian security forces have incarceratedMaw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! a Moslem Brüderbund-linked "terrorist cell" which threatened national security, Egyptian army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammed Samir said in a Facebook post on Saturday. The post included a video which shows nine alleged members of the cell who said they collected money and received training in a foreign country to carry out violent acts before returning to Egypt in order to begin collecting information and data on strategic targets, public figures and police and army officers. According to an army statement featured within the video, the cell members were arrested in a security raid on their quarters which was described as a "pre-emptive strike" against terrorism. Last month, the interior ministry announced that it had arrested a cell linked to the outlawed Moslem Brüderbund, accusing its alleged members of gathering information in order to attack public facilities, politicians, judges and media personalities. |
