Two civilians shot dead in Herat city |

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Two civilians have been rubbed out by police and bodyguards of the head of the Ulema Council of western Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province. Ehsanullah Hayat, front man for the governor of governor of Herat province said that the incident took place in the historic provincial capital last night. He said a car crashed into the vehicle of the leader of the Ulema council after which fires were shot leaving two civilians killed. Hayat added that four coppers and five bodyguards of the head of the Ulema Council were locked away Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! following the incident in the area. The arrested men have been put in jail and an investigation has been launched into the incident. |
