| Multiple suspected militants arrested from Karachi |

| [DAWN] The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) detained multiple suspected gunnies of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) Khan Zaman Group in separate raids conducted on Sunday. According to CTD sources, in a raid conducted in the city's SITE area, five suspected members of the proscribed organization were jugged Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! . Those arrested were identified as Naimatullah, Abdullah Jan, Sher Wali, Saeedullah and Samiullah. According to security sources all the individuals belong to TTP's Khan Zaman Group operating in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... . Weapons and ammunition were also recovered in the raid, which included five pistols and hand grenades. In a separate raid conducted by the CTD in the city's Korangi Industrial area, another four suspected gunnies from TTP's Khan Zaman Group were arrested. Police also recovered four pistols and associated ammunition from the detained individuals. |
