Curt Schilling Now Removed From This Sunday's Night Baseball Game
2015-08-26
It's now pretty obvious ESPN's getting ready to shitcan him altogether.
Curt Schilling's ESPN career is in flux. The former World Series MVP has been known to share a controversial opinion or two on his social media pages, but he clearly stepped over the line this week. Schilling posted and deleted a picture comparing Muslims to Nazi Germany that drew swift and near-universal backlash.

In the aftermath, ESPN quickly removed Schilling from his scheduled Little League World Series assignments this week. Now we know that hiatus will extend to his MLB work. ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz tells Awful Announcing that Schilling will not be on the Sunday Night Baseball telecast this week.

#3  You Muslims, whose history is reeking
Of putsches and marches and shrieking,
Who fought for the Germans,
Praised Hitler in sermons...
Are what, hypothetically speaking?

#2  Oh, about that 13th Waffen SS Division -

In April 1943, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammad Amin al-Husayni, was invited by Berger to assist in organising and recruiting Muslims into the Waffen-SS and other units. He was escorted by von Krempler, who spoke Turkish.[20] The Mufti successfully convinced the Muslims to ignore the declarations of the Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka Ulama (Islamic clerics), who in 1941 forbade them from collaborating with the Ustaše.[21]

The Germans emphasised that al-Husayni had flown from Berlin to Sarajevo in order to bless and inspect the division. During his visit to Bosnia al-Husayni also convinced some important Muslim leaders that the formation of the division was in the interests of Islam.[22]
