| Kabul police say blasts were controlled detonations |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] Two big booms were heard in the eastern part of Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the Worldand didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... city on Saturday afternoon. The blasts spread panic in police districts eight and nine for few moments but Kabul police say they were controlled detonations. The kabooms were reportedly collected by a de-mining company and blasted in the area. This comes as Kabul residents are still in shock from the recent suicide kabooms in the city that left dozens of people killed and hundreds of others maimed. Last Saturday a jacket wallah targeted a vehicle of foreigners in Macroryan 4 area leaving 12 people, including 3 US contractors, killed and around 80 others maimed. Also, two separate suicide kaboom and a krazed killer attack left at least 50 people killed and over 400 others maimed in the first week of this month. |
