[Gulf Today] The Philippine military on Friday reported the capture of two members of the communist New People’s Army following a clash with troops in Camarines Sur province.Provincial military spokesman Captain Marjorie Panesa said the soldiers also seized from the militants two Armalite rifles after the 10-minute encounter in a remote village in Iriga City at dawn on Friday. Panesa said, "Our soldiers were on security patrol when the clash occurred after which the rebels fled and left behind their two comrades who were captured."
