Egypt military says two soldiers, 64 militants killed in Sinai | |

[AlAhram] Egypt's military said two soldiers were killed Saturday during a widescale offensive against jihadists in the Sinai Peninsula that killed 64 faceless myrmidons on its sixth day. The military launched the campaign Monday to uproot faceless myrmidons loyal to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group who have turned the northern part of the peninsula into a launch pad for attacks. It says it has killed 296 faceless myrmidons since the start of the operation, including those killed on Saturday. It was not possible independently to verify the toll.
The operation came days after the Sinai Province released a video documenting its attacks on the military in Sinai, including footage of a wire-guided missile strike that destroyed a navy vessel. | |
