| Poll of U.S. Muslims Reveals Ominous Levels Of Support For Islamic Supremacists' Doctrine of Shariah, Jihad |

| [CenterForSecurityPolicy] According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that "Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah." When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%). More than half (51%) of U.S. Muslims polled also believe either that they should have the choice of American or shariah courts, or that they should have their own tribunals to apply shariah. Only 39% of those polled said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts. These notions were powerfully rejected by the broader population according to the Center's earlier national survey. It found by a margin of 92%-2% that Muslims should be subject to the same courts as other citizens, rather than have their own courts and tribunals here in the U.S. Even more troubling, is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, "It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed." |

| #15 Alan C - the most important point though is that to separate theocratic fascism from secular muslims then name the enemy as Islamofascism and sharia and hold up the secular muslims as visible allies is the only way to win You cannot fight all islam. What is required is for us to take a position in what is a civil war within the religion but to take it publicly. Even though its not our religion. The other strategy of pretending religion has nothing to do with it has failed. Obviously failed. although you might want to expel every muslim within your borders and this would automatically solve the problem, because by definition every Islamofascist is a muslim, this is not possible. If you want to win this very serious conflict we are trapped in then you have to fight hard but also use winning strategies - do what is possible. if we declare war on all islam that will fail. If we pretend Islam has nothing to do with it (the current PR strategy) we will fail. this is an ideological civil war within islam between theocrat and secular that has been exported by the theocrats to everywhere and all of us. We therefore have no choice but to fight. But we cannot keep doing what we are doing because we will lose. Therefore only the difficult and correct option is left. We must communicate to the largely ignorant public what the difference is between theocrat and secular and stand up to defend Western secularism. you cannot expect the support of other religious leaders in this because their own power bases which depend on the same thing - religiosity. They were de-fanged centuries ago but they are always looking to come back - and we have no right to forget what they were like when they were strong. They will be uncomfortable with the defence of secularism which is required. We have no choice but to defend the fragile rule of secular law which we have inherited from the Enlightenment or modernity will cease to exist. |

| #14 Alan c - no, there are plenty of muslims who reject sharia and should be encouraged in their efforts here is dr taj hargey who rejects it outright and because there is no centralised authority in Islam the left wing media cannot say he is not a *real* muslim. they are all real muslims it is just who do you give a platform to comment - sunni theocratic fascists? or secular muslims like Dr Taj Hargey Then there is Lejla Kuric, a brave muslim woman who fought off gender segregation in UK Universities If you ask her she will say no, she doesnt believe in magical flying carpets or winged horses and totally rejects sharia but yes she does consider herself muslim because she was forced to flee the former yugoslavia and live in a refugee camp for years because she was considered to be a muslim |

| #11 muslims are welcome, sharia is not This seems to be an oxymoron. Isn't sharia one of the prime tenets of Islam? That would make all muslims supporters of the imposition of SHARIA. Now, I don't deny that many muslims are not real observant while living in a place not under the control of holy-mens, but it doesn't mean that there isn't a critical mass of muslims that would try and force the issue. There should be no laws except those from civil society that abide by the constitution. |

Name it.
