| [ARA] More than 100 people were killed, including 30 civilians and 70 ISIS fighters, in the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra under The Syrian warplanes have intensified operations on the ISIS-held city of Palmyra since Friday. "The air force used barrel bombs and missiles in Palmyra bombardment," media activist Ali Nassar told ARA News on the phone. The raids coincided with a mass displacement among civilians. "Most of the residents escaped the city as the continuous strikes caused the destruction of dozens of houses and many casualties among civilians," Nassar reported. "30 civilian deaths were documented, beside the killing of at least 70 ISIS fighters in the recent strikes," the source said. |
