| #7 The roads are two-way roads so the Russians must be careful. Putin has the advantage of being able to be as brutal as his enemies without his own media getting all wobbley on him and I do believe the Islamic culture only really respects strength. |

| #5 Afghanistan is a unique situation. Afghanistan is a god-awful nasty place to fight a war. The locals hate each other and hate any outsider. No one with any sense would send an army into Afghanistan...Alexander did but he got the hell out of there as fast as he could. |
