They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....

That's not nearly as many as I expected for the past four years.
The number, which reportedly includes many westerners including perhaps 250 Americans, represents a doubling of last year's US assessment and will dismay US war planners.
I seem to recall that ISIS claimed to have welcomed 25,000 foreigners last year, but perhaps I am mistaken.
The New York Times' report cites anonymous "intelligence and law enforcement officials."

In recent weeks, there have been allegations that the US military has been playing down the ISIS threat in intelligence reports, to paint a rosier picture of its efforts.
