2015-09-28 |
[Libya Herald] Revolutionaries in Sabratha have threatened Tunisia with unnamed consequences if it does not release one of their fellow fighters. Azhar Al-Magouri was said to have been tossed in the calaboose Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! on 11 September just after passing through the Ras Jedir border crossing and was reportedly changed with terrorist offences. Using an Eid felicitations statement, the revolutionaries movement Saha Hurriya Sabratha (Free Sabratha Arena), said there would be "dire consequences" if Tunisia did not let Magouri go. Both Sabratha Municipal Council and its military council have also demanded Magouri's release, claiming that the charges against him are without foundation. They too warned that he if were not freed it would undermine relations between Libya and Tunisia. They claimed that Magouri was chairman of an aid agency, Basamat Al-Rahma. |
